Lead SEC Analyst

Location: Remote, United States; work remotely from the Americas.

Base salary: $139,000–$235,000 USD annually for United States residents.

What you will do

• Own the preparation, review, and filing of SEC Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and S-1, as well as quarterly investor materials.
• Build and manage quarterly and annual reporting calendars, coordinate inputs across Accounting, Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and business partners, and manage deadline risks.
• Lead the earnings release process, including management reporting packages and review of financial information in earnings releases and scripts.
• Own disclosure checklists and XBRL reviews while improving the quality, clarity, and consistency of disclosures.
• Identify reporting inefficiencies and manual work, then drive automation, standardization, and process improvements.
• Prepare or review journal entries, reconciliations, equity rollforwards, earnings-per-share calculations, client-provided schedules, SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting, technical accounting matters, new accounting pronouncements, SOX requirements, and special projects including M&A reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience owning SEC reporting deliverables, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, in a public company or a public accounting environment serving public-company clients.
• A record of improving disclosures and reporting processes rather than only executing existing processes.
• Strong project management skills, including independently owning calendars, driving accountability across teams, and managing competing deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including researching and interpreting complex accounting guidance.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating with Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and business partners.

Nice to have

• CPA licensure or active pursuit of licensure.
• Proficiency with Workiva Wdesk and NetSuite.
