What you will do

• Lead and mentor a senior team of managers and engineers across machine learning, data engineering, and software engineering.
• Drive alignment across engineering, product, and leadership on AI investment priorities and multi-year technical roadmaps.
• Partner with product, design, and data science teams to take high-impact ML initiatives from concept to production.
• Ensure high-quality, efficient data pipelines supporting business and AI needs.
• Define and own success metrics linking ML work to business outcomes.
• Coach and develop team members to grow their careers and technical expertise.

Requirements

• Must live in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity.
• 12+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years managing teams in fast-paced tech environments.
• Experience building and architecting full-stack enterprise-scale products and systems.
• Proven technical leadership in AI technologies and cross-functional collaboration with product and data science.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
