What you will do

• Develop and customize software solutions to automate CNC programming and machining fabrication.
• Implement efficiency-increasing tools including AI/ML, in-process probing, adaptive machining, and closed-loop feedback processes.
• Develop CNC postprocessors and implement machine code simulation.
• Create integrations and add-ons for CAD/CAM/PLM systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of machinists, programmers, and software engineers to scale machining automation.
• Identify, evaluate, and initiate the adoption of emerging manufacturing technologies and strategic software selection.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a CNC machining manufacturing environment.
• Proven success with CAM systems, CNC programming, and deep understanding of G-code (including macro programming).
• Proficiency in writing maintainable code in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with CNC controls such as Sinumerik, Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Okuma.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or granted asylum.
• Ability to physically support fabrication floor activities, including climbing stairs and lifting 40 lbs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience with modern software practices: source control, CI/CD, and cloud architecture.
• Expertise in Siemens NX and Teamcenter administration and customization.
• Experience developing automated machining cells and robotics.
• Knowledge of cutting tool databases such as TMS, TDM, or MRL.
