What you will do

• Lead process and parameter development for metal additive processes using DOEs to define process windows.
• Drive adoption of in situ monitoring, statistical process control, and digital traceability records.
• Build internal software tools or implement market solutions to accelerate parameter development and process automation.
• Design and build automated workflows and creative methods for efficient validation and implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with materials, systems, software, and welding engineering teams.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for specific parameter needs tied to unique part geometries.

Requirements

• Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience developing and optimizing parameters for metal additive manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing equipment, build processors, or process simulation tools.
• Experience building automated workflows, scripting, or tooling to speed up development.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for ITAR compliance).

Nice to have

• Extensive experience in LPBF as the primary process and DED as a secondary strength.
• Background in aerospace, aviation, defense, or energy industries with high specification requirements.
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python) to automate engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with NADCAP, AS9100, ASTM/AMS specifications, and fracture control classification.
• Prior support of production scale-up in high-rate manufacturing environments.
