Manager, Employee Relations

Location: Hybrid in Universal City, California, with a minimum of four days per week in the office

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Conduct autonomous, in-depth investigations into sensitive and complex employee concerns, including interviews, fact-finding, reporting, and corrective action documentation.
• Consult with Legal, operations leadership, and HR Business Partners to resolve employee relations issues and ensure consistent policy enforcement.
• Develop standardized processes for investigations, case tracking, documentation, and centralized recordkeeping.
• Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and opportunities for proactive mitigation and training.
• Partner on the analysis and revision of employee programs, policies, and practices.
• Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures, training, and participation requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and compliance requirements.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources generalist experience, including employee relations processes.
• At least 3 years of experience handling complex employee investigations and collaborating with legal counsel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization, critical thinking, problem-solving, confidentiality, and independent-working skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Experience with case databases such as Oracle, CaseIQ, or iSight.
• Experience in union or represented environments or the hospitality industry.
• Facilitation, influencing, conflict resolution, and integrated HR solution development skills.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays when needed.
