What you will do

  • Own global government affairs strategy and set annual priorities to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead a global team and external portfolio of lobbyists, trade associations, and advisory firms across multiple geographies.
  • Direct the federal lobbying program, setting the advocacy agenda and personally conducting advocacy on critical matters.
  • Lead Regulated Partner Business Development to originate opportunities in national security, defense, and sovereign cloud.
  • Track and influence policy developments regarding AI governance, data sovereignty, and federal IT procurement.
  • Represent the company at major global government and technology policy forums and produce strategic narratives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in government, public policy, national security, or strategic business development within the tech sector.
  • Must be based in Washington D.C.
  • Deep knowledge of US federal legislative processes, EU digital policy (AI Act, GDPR), and at least one other major jurisdiction (UK, APAC, or Middle East).
  • Senior-level global network across the US federal government (Congress, Executive Branch, DoD/IC).
  • Proven track record of originating and shaping long-cycle opportunities in regulated markets.
  • Working knowledge of AI governance, data sovereignty, and security frameworks such as FedRAMP, DoD IL, and NIS2.

Nice to have

  • Experience building or evaluating a corporate PAC program.
  • Background in federal IT procurement, PubSec, or defense contracting ecosystems.
  • APAC policy exposure, particularly in Japan, Australia, or Singapore.
  • Active US, UK, or NATO security clearance.
