Location: Washington, DC; hybrid
Salary: $220,000–$330,000 annual base salary for California, New York, Washington state, and Washington, DC; $175,000–$265,000 for other US states, plus equity

What you will do
- Lead government affairs and advocacy strategy across US federal and state jurisdictions.
- Advise internal stakeholders on AI policy, regulatory shifts, government initiatives, and legislative proposals.
- Build relationships with lawmakers, regulators, federal agencies, state leaders, and trade bodies.
- Translate complex technical and business objectives into effective policy advocacy and briefings.
- Support public-sector sales and government procurement strategies in regulated sectors.
- Manage government relations consultants, lobbyists, trade associations, and lobbying compliance.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of leadership experience combining technology-sector corporate government affairs with political or government experience.
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence policy, applications, risks, and technology regulation.
- Extensive experience navigating US federal and state policy environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including policy documents, thought leadership, and executive briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, political science, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience in the defense, military, or national security sectors.
- Experience with technology policy, trade, or digital regulation in Latin America.
- Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
- Experience supporting public-sector sales and government procurement teams.
