Cost Estimating Analyst 2

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Prepare, analyze, evaluate, and support cost proposals for government and commercial customers.
• Coordinate cost inputs from Engineering, Procurement, Program Management, Contracts, and other functional teams.
• Consolidate and pressure-test bases of estimate covering labor, materials, travel, other direct costs, and subcontracts.
• Research historical data, develop cost models, and assess estimating techniques and historical actuals.
• Evaluate bills of materials, select pricing methods, validate vendor quotes, and consolidate estimates in pricing tools or ERP systems.
• Generate cost volumes and financial analyses while supporting proposal reviews, revisions, and management presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in cost estimating or a related field.
• Experience bidding on FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, and T&M contract types.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and present cost-estimating information to leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret government security clearance.
