TL;DR
Program Financial Analyst II (Aerospace & Defense): Managing project data, budgets, schedules, cost proposals, and forecasts for complex aerospace and defense contracts with an accent on cost variance analysis, financial modeling, and contract compliance. Focus on developing accurate program forecasts, maintaining cost and schedule baselines, and presenting financial insights to management and stakeholders.

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States. The role may be performed in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Salary: $71,338.47–$98,090.40 per year.

What you will do

  • Manage complex project data for internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, schedules, and cost proposals for contract work.
  • Perform what-if cost analysis, program cost forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
  • Monitor outstanding contract work and maintain accurate cost and schedule baselines.
  • Develop financial models and reports, and present financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis, project control, or a related field; without a degree, at least 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Clear communication of program and financial information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Must meet U.S. government international trade authorization requirements.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of government contracting, FAR, and DFARS regulations.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
