What you will do

• Design and develop efficient, bug-free software for consumer electronics products.
• Follow a disciplined Agile/Scrum process for task estimation, design, development, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce requirements and technical design documents.
• Analyze existing software to debug and troubleshoot reported issues.
• Promote code reuse across current projects and identify process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the technical analysis of potential tools and commercial products.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with embedded systems.
• 3+ years of experience with C, C++11 (or later), and Linux software development environments.
• 2+ years of experience with Buildroot, Yocto, and embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA and successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio development or consumer electronics.
• Experience with multi-core firmware design and inter-processor communications.
• Linux kernel development experience.
• Proficiency with peripheral interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, HDMI).
• Hands-on experience with IDEs, emulators, analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
