What you will do

• Develop products that solve customer needs using new technologies and engineering principles.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from initial concept phase through to production launch.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for novel concepts.
• Utilize technical tools such as DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, and Cost Estimates within a stage-gate process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements, costs, and timing deliverables are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in new product development, ideally within residential doors, windows, glass, or building materials.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks/CAD for creating technical drawings.
• Proven track record of taking concepts through prototyping, testing, and production.
• Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, plastics, wood, and metal materials.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Zeeland, MI

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
