Design Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Design and create 3D models and engineering drawings for new products.
• Revise existing 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Research, develop, and test new product concepts and prototypes.
• Inspect first article samples and coordinate necessary corrections.
• Provide technical data to Quality Control and Sales departments.
• Assist the Manufacturing department in reducing rework and controlling production quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of recent experience in 3D design and 2D drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
• Experience in basic design engineering calculations and tolerance stack-up studies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team.
• Ability to travel within the US and internationally on occasion.

Nice to have

• Experience in surface modeling using Creo Parametric.
• Experience in FEA using Creo Simulate or Ansys.
• Experience with Windchill PLM software.
• Background in construction and mining equipment wear parts.
• Experience in steel casting and machining manufacturing processes.
