Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Must be located in the National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, Texas, United States

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex software features and scalable microservices architectures.
• Architect technical solutions based on software design and system architecture principles.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps automation and participate in SAFe program-level activities.
• Conduct code reviews, third-party code reviews, and security assessments.
• Lead technical discussions, make architecture decisions, and troubleshoot complex issues across the stack.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, containerization, orchestration, distributed systems, message queuing, databases, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Extensive experience with DevSecOps practices and toolchains.
• Active TS/SCI clearance, ability to obtain a CI Polygraph, U.S. citizenship, and residence in the NCR or San Antonio area are required.
