Salary: $212,000 - $265,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the development and migration to a workflow-as-code platform using Temporal to ensure deterministic operations.
• Transform infrastructure from scripted automation into a durable, stateful management plane.
• Design services leveraging LLMs and ML for intelligent signal correlation and automated triage.
• Develop framework-level services and internal APIs with built-in reliability hooks.
• Implement deep telemetry to ensure all fleet-wide actions are auditable and replayable.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in hyperscale systems with deep understanding of failure modes at massive scale.
• Mastery of backend languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
• Strong experience designing and operating complex distributed systems.
• Proven track record of developing Platform APIs (REST/gRPC) with strong guarantees for idempotency.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience integrating AI-driven solutions.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model (3 days in office) in San Jose, CA.

Nice to have

• Direct experience building or operating systems with Temporal.io or Cadence.
• Proficiency with AI code-assistance tools like Cursor or Windsurf.
• Experience with PostgreSQL for high-scale, stateful management-plane services.
