Director, Procurement

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, KY, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, and WI. Core US hours are required, with occasional international coordination.

Salary: $180,000–$215,000 annually; the full base pay range is $148,800–$248,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Own procurement strategy across indirect, technology, facilities, corporate, and professional services categories.
• Manage and develop the procurement team, including the Procurement Manager, while establishing operating frameworks and performance standards.
• Lead complex negotiations and build executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Design RFx processes using market intelligence, benchmarking, scenario modeling, supplier assessment, and total cost analysis.
• Build vendor performance governance with KPIs, escalation protocols, and supplier accountability.
• Scale procurement systems and workflows, drive change adoption, and ensure compliance with SOX, SOC II, and related requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership with direct management responsibility.
• Experience leading strategic procurement across multiple categories, particularly technology, SaaS, AI, indirect spend, and professional services.
• Demonstrated success with complex, high-value negotiations supported by benchmarking, market intelligence, and total cost analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong executive presence, communication, problem-solving, project management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work core US hours and familiarity with AI, data, BI, or P2P tools.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPSM, or CPM certification.
• Experience with P2P platforms such as ZipHQ.
