Head of Engineering (AI/Agentic Systems): Set the technical direction for an AI-native division, build and lead an engineering team, and own delivery against a fast-moving product roadmap with an accent on microservices architecture, agentic AI systems, and production-grade data pipelines. Focus on end-to-end product execution, agent reasoning/debugging in production, and partnering with data science to deliver LSP decision intelligence.

Location: Chicago; on-site 3 days a week

Salary: $235,000 – $290,000 (base)

hirify.global builds logistics software and is launching an AI-native division (p44LSP.ai) for the logistics service provider market.

What you will do

• Set and execute the technical vision across microservices architecture, agentic AI systems, data pipelines, and customer-facing product surfaces
• Build and lead a high-performance engineering team across the US and EU, including hiring, development, and retention
• Own the agentic AI engineering roadmap: how agents are built, reasoned with, debugged, and improved in production
• Partner with data science to design and build data-driven product capabilities for LSP decision intelligence
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers to close the loop between customer reality and the product roadmap
• Represent engineering at leadership level, contributing to product strategy, hiring, and go-to-market planning

Requirements

• Work authorization: must be authorized to work in the US without current or future employer-sponsored visa support
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of building and shipping large-scale products
• 8–10 years of engineering leadership experience managing and growing high-performance teams
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, agentic AI systems, and data science
• Proven ability to design and build products end to end, from brief to production
• Some travel to Bangalore and to customers is required
