Senior Backend Developer (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA; hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 remote days each week

What you will do

• Design and implement backend features in C#/.NET for the Mobius data platform.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL across Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres.
• Diagnose performance issues using execution plans, indexes, and database diagnostic tools.
• Develop software with Anthropic AI, including requirements analysis, code implementation, and automated test creation.
• Produce component-level designs, automated unit and integration tests, and test recommendations for QA and performance teams.
• Support production issues, identify legacy-code refactoring opportunities, and update product documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET backend development experience and familiarity with REST principles.
• 4+ years of production experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server, Postgres, T-SQL, schema design, normalization, indexing, execution plans, locking, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development and automated unit- and integration-level testing.
• Availability for occasional off-hours production support in emergency situations.
