What you will do

• Manage complex Commercial Claims from intake through resolution, with a primary focus on Commercial General Liability (CGL).
• Apply CGL and related lines knowledge to support multi-line claims handling and identify overlapping exposure.
• Ensure claims are handled according to company claims philosophy, internal protocols, and reserving practices.
• Maintain thorough file documentation, including diary management, reserve updates, and clear coverage positions.
• Lead negotiations and support resolution strategies, including litigation management, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Communicate proactively with brokers, insureds, counsel, TPAs, and internal stakeholders; identify trends and report insights to management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of claims handling experience, preferably in Property & CGL.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex files independently and make sound coverage and resolution decisions.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• CIP designation or progress toward completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational skills.
