What you will do

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for alcohol and drug abuse.
• Develop, implement, and revise comprehensive patient treatment plans and maintain detailed records.
• Perform intake and readmission services and provide supportive follow-up counseling.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate care with community providers.
• Orient patients to program operations and ensure adherence to regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Participate in in-service training and represent the company in community public relations activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services or a related field.
• Current counseling credentials as required by the state of Michigan.
• Ability to make decisions and use proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues.
• Capacity to react quickly and make effective decisions in stressful or undesirable situations.
• Strong knowledge of substance abuse populations and treatment planning.
• Compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding licensure and degrees.
