What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling, group sessions, intake, and readmission services.
• Assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs and develop treatment plans.
• Provide supportive follow-up counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, and care coordination with community providers.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records and inter-agency documentation.
• Support program implementation, caseload management, staff training, and OBOT services.
• Follow federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements and participate in community activities.

Requirements

• Active Michigan substance abuse or social work certification or licensure is required.
• MCBAP-recognized CADC, CAADC, or CADC-DP credentials are sought.
• Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment planning, human behavior, and social services.
• Ability to make sound decisions when handling confidential and sensitive issues.
• Ability to respond effectively in stressful situations and seek supervisory guidance when needed.
• Compliance with federal and state certification, licensure, and degree requirements.
