TL;DR
Staff AI/ML Scientist (Conversational AI): Transforming text interfaces into goal-oriented, multi-step conversational agents for enterprise domain data with an accent on LLM reasoning loops and multi-agent orchestration. Focus on building autonomous agentic systems at scale and integrating them into sustainable procurement and supply chain resilience products.
Location: Must be eligible to work and live in Spain. Hybrid in Barcelona (4 days per month in office) or full remote from Spain.

What you will do
- Design and test multi-turn, state-aware conversational systems using LLM reasoning loops (e.g., ReAct, Plan-and-Solve) and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
- Implement end-to-end AI solutions utilizing Python, MLflow, Azure stack, and Databricks to build and maintain models.
- Lead functional teams and strategic initiatives to accelerate the organization's adoption of Conversational AI.
- Mentor junior team members and establish best practices in AI/ML development.
- Collaborate with customers to evaluate needs and recommend solutions that drive business value.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, AI, Computer Science, or Computational Linguistics).
- 8+ years of experience in ML and NLP, with at least 4+ years specializing in production Conversational AI.
- Proven track record of building autonomous or semi-autonomous agentic systems at scale.
- Experience leading end-to-end AI initiatives from design and implementation to integration.
- Legally eligible to work and live in Spain.
Nice to have
- Experience building conversational interfaces for complex domains like Supply Chain, Procurement, or Financial Risk.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier AI/NLP venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, AAAI, KDD).
