TL;DR
Powertrain Design Engineer (CAD/Automotive): Designing 3D and 2D powertrain components and preparing design documentation with an accent on CAD-based mechanical engineering, DMU checks, and hybrid or electrified powertrain systems. Focus on developing vehicle and powertrain solutions, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and working from engineering instructions or independently.

Location: Érd, Hungary; hybrid working model with up to 60% home office

hirify.global Hungary is a research and development center focused on powertrain systems, supporting automotive and other vehicle-industry projects with more than 500 professionals across Hungary.

What you will do

  • Create 3D and 2D designs independently or based on lead engineer instructions.
  • Perform DMU checks and prepare documentation for design activities.
  • Develop powertrain solutions for car manufacturers and their suppliers.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and at least one CAD system: Creo, CATIA V5/V6, or NX.
  • B2 proficiency in English and/or German.
  • Good communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vehicle engine or powertrain component design.
  • Experience with hybrid or electrified powertrain components.
  • Experience with special-purpose machine design.
