TL;DR

What you will do
- Oversee core infrastructure across VMware, Proxmox, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Manage and improve the network stack, including switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Lead complex technical projects, upgrades, and migrations from concept to delivery.
- Implement automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline operational workflows.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and system security through proactive monitoring and hardening.
- Mentor the wider IT team and maintain detailed technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms like VMware or Proxmox.
- Strong administration expertise in both Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Practical experience configuring and maintaining enterprise networking equipment and security protocols.
- Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
- Must be able to work on-site in Leamington Spa, UK, as part of a hybrid arrangement.
