Senior IT Systems Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Own and maintain core systems across infrastructure, endpoint management, and business applications, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and Entra ID for provisioning, licensing, and governance.
• Build and maintain PowerShell scripts and workflow automations using Power Automate or N8N to remove manual IT effort.
• Provide third-line technical leadership on escalated issues, driving complex problems through to resolution.
• Design and implement security policies and procedures, coordinating audits and assessments to meet standards.
• Drive adoption, integration, and standardisation of SaaS and cloud services; support migrations, upgrades, and integrations.

Requirements

• Hands-on IT systems engineering experience across Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
• Experience with complex networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, Cloudflare Zero Trust).
• Endpoint management experience including Windows Autopilot and Apple ADE.
• Proven scripting/automation skills in PowerShell and/or Python, with production automation using N8N or Power Automate.
• Strong security fundamentals, including encryption/data integrity and ability to design security policies for a cloud-only Microsoft environment.
• Third-line depth: ability to investigate logs/system behaviour independently and resolve unfamiliar problems without defaulting to external consultants.
