What you will do

• Lead the delivery of product initiatives from concept to rollout, collaborating with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage and coach engineers to foster professional growth and high-impact performance.
• Partner with the Product Manager to define the team roadmap and ensure sustainable impact.
• Oversee the technical strategy and decisions within the subscriptions product area.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of a high-traffic event-driven system.
• Contribute to department-wide engineering principles and the broader data strategy.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal
• Proven experience as a senior software engineer working on complex, large-scale cloud systems.
• At least 2 years of management experience with several direct reports.
• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• Background in building products that handle payments, transfers, and financial reconciliation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for leading technical discussions.

• Experience building or scaling subscription or recurring billing systems.
