Regional Safety Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: United States — Remote. The role supports projects throughout the United States and may require significant travel, including up to 75%, to the Midwest, East Coast, and other locations.

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned projects.
• Lead safety, health, and environmental compliance across construction, renewable energy, solar, BESS, O&M, EPC, and other business operations.
• Conduct project-site safety audits and verify compliance with applicable policies, OSHA requirements, and adopted standards.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications, participate in pre-construction meetings, and develop safety solutions with project leaders.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and maintain a positive safety culture across project personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible EHS experience in construction, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or energy operations.
• Experience supporting utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, and/or solar O&M activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash hazard mitigation, energized work practices, and OSHA Construction and General Industry standards.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and First Aid & CPR certification are required.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence is required.

Nice to have

• OSHA 510, OSHA 511, CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, OHST, or other recognized professional safety certifications.
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office.
