What you will do
- Establish and maintain a proactive safety culture for the project site.
- Develop safety performance metrics and targets; analyze trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide guidance during construction, coordinating with contractors, site managers, and third-party vendors.
- Review and approve construction safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and contractor safety programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections/audits, facilitate toolbox talks and emergency drills, and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis and oversee safe commissioning and transition to operational safety programs aligned with OSHA 1910.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSSEQ management systems or equivalent.
- Strong experience in both construction and operational safety, preferably in industrial, energy infrastructure, or data center environments.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action planning.
- Ability to work in field conditions with flexible schedules, including exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, and working at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
- Experience with data analysis and safety performance reporting tools.
- Familiarity with workplace hygiene practices (noise monitoring, ergonomics, exposure testing).
