What you will do

• Provide expert-level direction and review for physical substation design packages, including general arrangements, elevations, and conduit/trench plans.
• Perform final QA/QC reviews to ensure designs meet NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and client standards.
• Review engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and oversee vendor and client compliance.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the most complex and technically challenging projects.
• Mentor engineers and designers to elevate their technical capabilities.
• Partner with group Directors and VPs on project strategy and help create technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of direct substation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain one within one year.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE codes and standards, and relevant state/city regulations.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
