Location: United States; remote within the contiguous United States for employees living beyond 30 miles of a NuScale office; otherwise hybrid with four office days per week. Occasional business travel is required, including 10–25% travel to local, national, and international suppliers.
Salary: $124,400–$150,138 annual target range; full range $111,531–$174,446 annually.

What you will do
- Provide technical supplier oversight for manufacturing and manufacturing-development projects involving nuclear I&C systems and electrical components.
- Interpret design-organization requirements for manufacturing suppliers and advise on product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Lead subcontract technical activities by preparing requirements and schedules and coordinating project execution.
- Review supplier documentation, engineering deliverables, drawings, studies, specifications, test results, and corrective actions for compliance.
- Survey and evaluate new suppliers, grade technical proposals, and support procurement and supplier selection.
- Prepare manufacturing reports and cost or value-engineering analyses while mentoring less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited four-year institution.
- At least 8 years of full-time engineering experience in manufacturing development and oversight of I&C systems and electrical components.
- Experience developing complex designs, components, or systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Project management, technical writing, Product Lifecycle Management, and Microsoft Office experience.
- IEEE code experience and knowledge of quality requirements including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1.
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 and able to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Advanced engineering degree.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610/620.
