Senior Project Engineer (Substation)

What you will do

• Lead the design and execution of high-voltage Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation EPC projects.
• Develop project design criteria and comprehensive engineering packages for substation construction and operation.
• Create, review, and implement engineering designs, technical documentation, and specifications.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Support on-time and on-budget delivery while maintaining quality, safety, environmental, and industry-standard compliance.
• Promote proactive risk management and effective project-team leadership.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of engineering experience in AIS/GIS substation EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage AIS/GIS equipment and electrical engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience in HV substation design and construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, plus relevant certifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
