Director, Build Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid; United States and Europe hirify.global sites, with 2 to 3 days per week on site. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization. Travel to hirify.global offices, vendor offices, and team meeting locations may be required. The role is not eligible for a relocation package.

Salary: $176,600–$294,300 annual base salary, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Build, test, document, and ship production-grade full-stack software across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Integrate Agentic AI, LLM capabilities, prompt workflows, and RAG pipelines into Medical Affairs products.
• Move proofs of concept and MVPs into scalable production systems with appropriate quality gates.
• Integrate enterprise platforms such as Veeva CRM, PromoMats, and Salesforce Life Sciences or Marketing Cloud.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AI and ML components, including model performance, drift, reliability, cost, and latency.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Data Integration, Product Management, UX, and Scrum delivery partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience shipping production software across the full stack and working with multiple languages and frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI, ML, or LLM capabilities into production systems and taking prototypes or MVPs to scalable production.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, API-first design, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, code review, and verification of AI-generated code.
• Experience optimizing LLM and agent prompts and workflows for token efficiency, cost, latency, and output quality.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another regulated industry, including GxP, HIPAA, or GDPR requirements.
• Hands-on experience with LLMOps/MLOps, vector databases, RAG pipeline engineering, or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with Veeva CRM, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer certification.
