Senior Director, Software Engineering (Medtech)

Location: Hybrid position based out of the New York City, NY office, with two or more days per week in the office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: Approximately $275,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and deliver the software engineering roadmap across mobile, cloud, and platform teams.
• Lead, grow, and develop a multi-team organization of engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Define software architecture, engineering standards, and organizational strategy across the software organization.
• Build and maintain engineering talent through hiring, retention, and professional development.
• Partner with Product, Design, Regulatory, and Quality to deliver compliant, high-quality software on schedule.
• Represent engineering to executive leadership and champion ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multi-team engineering organizations at Director, Senior Director, or VP level.
• Experience operating engineering processes and organizational structures at scale.
• Experience with cloud or backend development and mobile applications, including iOS and Android.
• Excellent communication skills for working with technical staff and C-level executives.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience, plus FDA medical device experience.
• United States work authorization is required; immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
