Director of Data (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, California, with in-office collaboration required Monday through Wednesday.

Salary: $229,775–$344,663 base pay, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the vision and execution of hirify.global’s modern data infrastructure and highly scalable, reliable data pipelines.
• Establish strong security, privacy, and governance practices for global payroll, HR, and compliance data.
• Turn complex datasets into actionable strategies for Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
• Lead the company’s AI-native operating model, including AI capabilities for products such as the compliance assistant Alfie.
• Present complex technical insights as compelling business narratives for executive leadership and the board.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and AI specialists.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Fivetran, Atlan, Looker, and Monte Carlo.
• Proven experience deploying LLMs, machine learning models, and AI tools in production and internal workflows.
• Experience connecting data initiatives to growth, operational efficiency, billing accuracy, payroll speed, and compliance tracking.
• Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Palo Alto office Monday through Wednesday.
