Blaster/Painter (Industrial Coatings)

Location: Onsite in Winnemucca, Nevada, USA; willingness to work in remote locations for extended periods is required.

What you will do

• Perform abrasive and UHP blasting and apply paint and protective coatings to decks, piping, structural steel, vessels, and tanks.
• Prepare, operate, and inspect blast pots, spray pots, pumps, power tools, and related equipment.
• Apply surface preparation methods and work with cable rigging systems and spiders.
• Stage materials and maintain safe, efficient work areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers and complete related project duties.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, balance, reach, push, pull, and twist throughout the shift.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator or blast hood for extended periods and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required; employment verification is conducted through E-Verify.
• A TWIC card is required for some job sites.

• Knowledge of standard equipment packages and their functions.
• Experience rigging equipment components and understanding their purpose.
