What you will do

• Apply primer, pre-finish, and finish coats to treated metal parts and industrial machines.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, degreasing, mechanical scuffing, masking, and plugging according to prints and SOPs.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain paint-line equipment, including spray guns, booths, pumps, regulators, and high-pressure washers.
• Mix and adjust coatings by weight or volume while monitoring viscosity, temperature, humidity, and pot life.
• Measure and document wet and dry film thickness, inspect visual quality, repair defects, and complete quality records.
• Follow EHS, Lockout/Tagout, and PPE procedures while performing physically demanding work, including work in confined spaces.

Requirements

• Entry-level painting experience or completion of a formal painting or coatings program is preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete the hirify.global Paint Training Program.
• Ability to learn and perform hands-on spraying with HVLP and/or electrostatic systems and troubleshoot defects such as runs, sags, and orange peel.
• Ability to use wet and dry film thickness gauges, apply visual standards, repair defects, and maintain required records.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, squatting, lifting, and occasional confined-space work.
• Regular onsite work at the Piedmont, South Carolina campus is required.
