Lead Estimator (Gas Power Generation)

What you will do

• Lead the estimating team through procurement and bidding processes for complex energy construction projects.
• Coordinate bid efforts across estimating disciplines and ensure accuracy, technical compliance, and alignment.
• Calculate safety, training, PPE, and job hazard analysis costs and include them in project bids.
• Select subcontractors that meet risk management criteria and support bid reviews using company estimating software.
• Plan estimates, create preliminary project schedules, and support troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Support negotiations, client presentations, and competitive pursuits for new work.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive estimating and preconstruction experience with increasing responsibility.
• Leadership experience in crew-based and governance-driven estimating efforts.
• Four or more years of construction or an engineering degree with relevant estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Experience with mission-critical construction, gas-fired power plants, large commercial or industrial facilities, or utility-scale power generation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction markets, estimating strategies, cost control, purchase and work scheduling, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication skills and highly proficient computer skills.
