What you will do

• Drive full-vehicle mechanical integration of the Self Driving System from early concept exploration through final production.
• Establish and manage mechanical interface requirements and geometric boundaries between internal engineering teams and external OEM partners.
• Align cross-functional milestones by managing integration roadmaps, design schedules, and requirement verification.
• Lead digital mockup (DMU) strategies and ensure high-quality CAD tree organization and geometric compatibility.
• Manage Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) structure release and maturation from concept to prototype.
• Participate in end-to-end vehicle build execution, translating virtual mockups into physical production hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, systems architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of applicable vehicle or transportation experience.
• High proficiency (5,000+ hours) with advanced CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5/V6 or 3DX, and Vis-Mockup.
• Hands-on experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management and PLM systems.
• Ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams through complex projects and manage ambiguity.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View, CA (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Direct experience working with automotive OEM partners, including international partnerships.
• Knowledge of ADAS/SDS sensor integration, optical ray-tracing, or geometric sensor placement analysis.
• Experience creating macros (e.g., Visual Basic) to automate CAD or packaging workflows.
• Design and release experience with legacy automotive systems like exterior trim or body components.
