Ford Racing Vehicle Integration Engineer (Automotive): Leading end-to-end development, testing, and validation of future Ford Racing performance vehicles with an accent on vehicle-level requirements, cross-functional engineering, and customer-focused vehicle experiences. Focus on design confirmation vehicle milestones, test vehicle readiness, track and off-road durability testing, and final validation of emotive driving experiences.

Location: Allen Park, Michigan, United States. Hybrid role with a requirement to work onsite four or more days per week. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $74,300–$124,500 for salary grade 6; $86,600–$144,900 for salary grade 7; $99,100–$166,200 for salary grade 8.

What you will do

  • Lead Design Confirmation Vehicle development and launch activities for hirify.global Racing programs.
  • Translate customer insights into vehicle-level requirements and cascade them into system-level targets.
  • Manage technical tradeoffs across cross-functional engineering teams while preserving key customer experience features.
  • Oversee test vehicle lifecycles, hardware and software maturity tracking, and Fit for Test certification.
  • Direct track and off-road durability testing, including resource planning, logistics, safety, and cost control.
  • Lead final validation of vehicle experiences and prepare media vehicles for external representation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in vehicle engineering, product development, or a related automotive engineering role.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Experience with vehicle testing and validation, including assessing hardware and software Fit for Test status.
  • Experience managing engineering milestones, gateways, and program documentation in a formal product development system such as GPDS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to executive and multi-departmental audiences.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of vehicle-level automotive product development experience across multiple attributes.
  • Experience delivering complete automotive product development cycles from concept through launch.
  • Experience with modern software development processes, over-the-air updates, and feature delivery alongside mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of performance vehicle customers, including their needs, priorities, and pain points.
  • Early technology adopter mindset with strong self-motivation and initiative.
