Engineer - ADAS Applications (IVS) (Automotive)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. The role includes domestic and international evaluation, testing, and manufacturing activities. Applicants must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require visa or work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

• Develop and implement ADAS components and systems using electrical interface definition, parameter calibration, and vehicle integration.
• Collaborate with design, evaluation, manufacturing, project management, suppliers, and global engineering partners.
• Lead product development through project milestones and maintain schedules through start of production.
• Manage technical risks, investigate issues, resolve field concerns, and develop effective countermeasures.
• Benchmark competitor vehicles, consumer electronics, and emerging technologies to propose improvements to customer experience, performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Support testing, manufacturing activities, and continuous improvement across vehicle programs in North America and Japan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience supporting electronics or ADAS development through engineering projects, internships, co-op assignments, research, or professional engineering work.
• Experience managing projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve milestones.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and electrical system documentation.
• Knowledge of ADAS fundamentals, electrical circuitry, vehicle electrical architecture, and communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, or CXPI.
• Experience with DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA, or similar quality tools; a valid driving record and ability to operate company vehicles are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CATIA V5 or similar CAD platforms.
• Experience with Python, C++, or similar technologies for engineering analysis, testing, or automation.
• Experience developing wiring specifications with CR5000 or similar tools.
• Knowledge of hirify.global Business Practices or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
