What you will do

• Design, implement, and support high-availability network infrastructure following telecommunication industry standards.
• Maximize performance using network monitoring tools and collaborating with architects to resolve system outages.
• Provide technical expertise and strategic insight for the planning and implementation of complex engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, KPIs, and network diagrams.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and manage high-level escalation events.
• Coordinate with project management and cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with long-term business goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in progressive IT engineering and complex project management within telecommunications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Proficiency in protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DWDM, TCP/UDP, and Ethernet.
• Experience with hardware/software from Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, and Fujitsu.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and respond to emergencies outside core business hours.
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel between sites.

Nice to have

• Direct experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Professional certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, JNCIP, or Nokia NRS I/II.
