TL;DR
Senior Telecommunications / Network Engineer (Telecommunications): Researching and validating inventories and technical requirements for approximately 40 customer networks during transitions to GSA EIS and CVS services with an accent on WAN transport, circuit evaluation, configuration analysis, and federal acquisition documentation. Focus on evaluating carrier solutions, developing network PWS and technical plans, and coordinating service cutovers without mission degradation.
Location: Remote, with Scott Air Force Base, Illinois proximity highly preferred. Government meetings require availability from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday, with occasional cutover windows outside core hours.
Salary: $45.00–$52.50 per hour, W-2

What you will do
- Research and analyze network inventories, configurations, and technical requirements for approximately 40 customer data networks.
- Support agency customers in drafting network Performance Work Statements for EIS vendor competitions.
- Evaluate carrier and EIS vendor provisioning solutions, technical feasibility, performance trade-offs, and budget alignment.
- Provide technical input for bid models, technical evaluation plans, QASPs, and IGCEs.
- Plan and participate in service installation, scheduling, activation, and cutover activities.
- Coordinate DISA, DITCO, carrier, customer, and legacy-service disconnect activities throughout the migration lifecycle.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Active or interim Tier 1/NACI eligibility must be visible in DISS at contract start.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years of specialized network engineering experience.
- Experience with WAN transitions, circuit evaluation, configuration analysis, PWS development, and cutover execution.
- A formal Letter of Intent must be signed before submission to the Government.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting the DISA/DITCO Telecommunications Service Support Team.
- Experience with migrations from GSA NETWORX, WITS 3, and GSA Regional contracts to EIS.
- Experience evaluating or drafting technical requirements for DoD communications programs.
