Sr Network Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Remote - Texas; up to 50% travel to customer and partner sites within the U.S. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and support complex enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, SD-Access, and SD-Branch solutions.
• Lead SD-WAN deployments, including controller onboarding, zero-touch provisioning, policy development, traffic segmentation, and QoS configuration.
• Execute WAN circuit migrations, including MPLS-to-SD-WAN transitions, and modernize campus LAN environments with minimal customer impact.
• Design and deploy network security, cloud networking, automation, and intent-based network management solutions across multi-vendor environments.
• Assess and document enterprise networks, prepare customer-facing technical deliverables, and support SOW and LOE development.
• Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with design and project teams, and assist with customer presentations, demonstrations, and pre-sales engagements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise LAN/WAN design and deployment, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Current professional-level networking certification required; Cisco CCNP Enterprise is preferred, while CCIE or an equivalent expert-level certification is strongly preferred.
• Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise routing and switching platforms, preferably in Cisco-primary and multi-vendor environments.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, DIA, multi-WAN failover, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, LACP, QoS, and campus network design.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, SDN platforms, network security, and complex multi-site infrastructure is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required; the role is based in Texas and requires availability for up to 50% travel within the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center, Meraki, Juniper Mist, Aruba Central, WAN observability, SASE, and cloud-delivered security.
• Experience with DMVPN, FlexVPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect, and cloud-integrated SD-WAN.
• Network automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, NETCONF, or RESTCONF.
• Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain it.
• Previous Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Principal Engineer experience in a VAR or professional services environment.
