What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, focusing on career progression and psychological safety.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for engineering vacancies.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, and data analysts to plan and execute software projects.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and manage technical planning and scoping.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain architectural integrity and security standards.
• Identify engineering blockers and implement automation to improve developer experience.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading data engineers in an agile environment.
• Experience as an individual contributor shipping large-scale data applications.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one general-purpose language like Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Experience managing high-availability, distributed services and APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience managing both internal employees and external agency vendors.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and ingestion pipelines.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, BigQuery, and Looker.
• Experience with audience segmentation or marketing data infrastructure.
