What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of data quality and test data engineers, evolving them into a high-performing engineering function.
• Design and build reusable data quality frameworks and standardized validation libraries integrated into Databricks pipelines.
• Develop scalable solutions for synthetic data generation, masking, and replay frameworks for pipeline validation.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and SLA/SLO frameworks to ensure data observability and reliability.
• Define and execute the long-term enterprise roadmap for data quality and eliminate manual validation processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Test Data Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong technical proficiency with Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data observability tools such as Great Expectations, Deequ, or Soda.
• Solid understanding of anomaly detection and large-scale data validation patterns.
• Experience with JIRA and Agile user story/acceptance criteria writing.

Nice to have

• AI orchestration experience for automating synthetic data generation and pipeline regression testing.
• Experience working with user behavior data.
• Passion for live music and events.
