TL;DR

Financial Analyst (Finance): Providing financial analysis, budget preparation, and business process improvement for the Digital Payment Program (DPP) with an accent on revenue management and financial modeling. Focus on analyzing complex transaction data, ensuring accuracy in automated chargeback cycles, and supporting strategic decision-making for university-wide financial operations.

Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (Onsite at hirify.global Vancouver Campus)

Compensation: $6,949.92 – $9,992.50 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Monitor monthly manual and automated chargeback cycles to address anomalies and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and financial forecasts for the Digital Payment Program.
  • Develop financial models and reports from systems like Workday and TouchNet to support decision-making.
  • Analyze the 10-year financial model and provide recommendations for program sustainability and rate changes.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to find effective solutions.
  • Maintain business process documentation and facilitate training on financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) modules.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Ability to work effectively onsite at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to consolidate disparate financial data into actionable reports.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying generally accepted accounting principles.

Nice to have

  • CPA designation.
  • Experience managing general ledger activity, including Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Reconciliations.
  • Experience working with complex finance and budget systems, including ERPs.
  • Background in fund accounting and financial control.
