TL;DR

Senior Financial Analyst (Finance): Partnering with operating and finance colleagues to support high-quality software businesses with an accent on financial reporting, US GAAP compliance, and operational analysis. Focus on driving shareholder value through data-driven insights, M&A integration support, and the development of robust financial SOPs.

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Compensation: 90,000–100,000 CAD plus bonus

What you will do

• Prepare timely and accurate US GAAP financial statements, board reports, budgets, and KPIs.
• Perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work, including GL reviews and revenue recognition monitoring.
• Analyze budget-to-actuals and operational performance to facilitate smart decision-making.
• Support the financial integration of new acquisitions and implement M&A-related initiatives.
• Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive portfolio efficiency.
• Provide financial advice and guidance to business units as requested.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• University degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Highly motivated and energetic with an interest in entrepreneurship and software.

Nice to have

• Accounting designation or active progress toward one.
• Experience with NetSuite.
