Director, Corporate Development (AI)

Location: Remote, US

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 annually

What you will do

• Own the long-term corporate development strategy with the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership.
• Source, evaluate, prioritize, and execute acquisition and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Lead deal processes from outreach and valuation through due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, adjacency opportunities, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Build relationships with investment banks, private equity, venture capital, and industry operators.
• Lead M&A integration planning, post-close KPIs, value capture, and acquisition performance tracking.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI and Agentic Commerce.
• Proven experience sourcing, structuring, and closing acquisitions.
• Strong financial acumen, including complex valuation models, ROI analyses, three-statement models, synergies, and working capital requirements.
• Experience leading due diligence, negotiation, and integration in buy-side and sell-side contexts.
• Experience working with a remote-first team distributed across multiple time zones.
