Software Quality Assurance Analyst (GenAI-Enabled)

Location: Hybrid, with in-office presence in Sherbrooke, Canada

hirify.global is hiring for a role within its Quality Engineering organization.

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and user stories to define test scenarios and coverage strategies.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and system tests.
• Perform exploratory, negative, and ad hoc testing to identify edge cases and defects.
• Document and manage defects through their lifecycle using Azure DevOps, Jira, or TestRail.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and support release validation.
• Use GenAI to accelerate test-case generation, test-data creation, automation scripting, defect analysis, and root-cause investigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of software QA experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with test-case design and execution, functional and regression testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• Understanding of the SDLC, STLC, release processes, AI agents, and their Quality Engineering applications.
• Practical experience with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI assistants, including prompt engineering for test generation and validation.
• Professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, and availability for hybrid work with in-office presence in Sherbrooke.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Understanding of API testing and data validation, with SQL preferred.
• Experience with self-healing automation, risk-based test prioritization, or intelligent defect prediction.
