Software Developer in Test, Intern (Agent Development)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work model with 1–2 days per week in the downtown Toronto office

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and improve full-stack cloud software across the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve coverage and confidence in production releases.
• Build and enhance automated test pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Validate scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable applications running on AWS.
• Investigate software issues, debug services, and collaborate with developers and quality engineering partners.
• Contribute to design discussions, identify risks, and explore modern testing and automation approaches.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related software discipline.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or another modern programming language.
• Basic experience with software testing, test design, debugging, or automated testing.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals and interest in the full software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with agile development, sprint-based work, collaboration, and clear technical communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity about technical challenges.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Selenium or Playwright.
• Familiarity with cloud computing or AWS-based applications.
• Exposure to full-stack development, automated test pipelines, or continuous integration.
• Interest in learning new programming languages, development tools, testing approaches, and cloud technologies.
