Quality Assurance Analyst II (Payments) (Payments): Designing and executing testing for settlement processing, payment systems, and transaction validation with an accent on functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. What you will do
- Analyze business and functional requirements and develop test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing across payment processing and settlement platforms.
- Validate transaction accuracy, settlement, reconciliation, and data integrity across payment networks.
- Use simulators, testing tools, databases, and physical payment devices to verify end-to-end transactions.
- Manage defects, assess business and operational risks, and support production issue investigation and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, product stakeholders, and QA teams while improving test automation and QA processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in QA testing within banking, payments, financial services, or transaction-processing environments.
- Knowledge of settlement processing, reconciliation, payment lifecycles, payment switching, SQL, database testing, and transaction validation.
- Understanding of payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard, Interac, or similar ecosystems.
- Knowledge of EMV standards, ISO 8583, ATM, POS, or mobile payment technologies.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, defect management, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have
- Experience with Base24 or comparable payment switch platforms.
- Experience with Paragon, ICC Tools, MDS, Banknet/GCMS, VTS, or similar testing tools.
- Experience supporting test automation and quality engineering initiatives.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and modern test management tools.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and operational risk requirements in payments.
